Clancy & Theys Construction Company worked with White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, providing construction management services for a new addition and renovation.
The project includes a 16,433-square-foot expansion adding additional sanctuary/flex space, dedicated youth space with new classrooms, and a full commercial kitchen.
In addition to the expansion, Clancy & Theys provided 16,408 square feet of renovations including fellowship space, the dining hall, updated classrooms, and community outreach space.
They also provided exterior upgrades including a new arcade/covered walkway and updated recreation areas.
The Knox building renovation included an outreach location, small dining and the gym/basketball court.
The project included high-quality finishes such as glulam wood structural beams, terrazzo floors, and acoustical wood panels.
Careful attention was placed on the architectural stylings and finishes on the expansion so that it would blend in with the existing church.
The team scrutinized the new exterior brick options available so that it would match the 50-year-old brick used on the existing church.
An emphasis was placed on quality control and craftsmanship for the entire project.
During construction, the project team overcame many challenges to meet the project schedule, including two hurricanes, heavy snow, record-setting rainfall and more.
